The Undisputed Era was one of the dominant faction in WWE NXT from the recent years. Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish had a successful run as team but unfortunately Adam Cole shocked the world by turning on his teammates and disbanded the faction.
The former Undisputed Era member Kyle O’Reilly recently had an interview with ViBe & Wrestling and discussed about several topics including the details about shocking spilt-up on Undisputed Era stable.
Kyle O’Reilly stated that he wanted to be a honorable fighter but Undisputed Era had underhand tactics for the success. He also admitted that he felt that he was in weird place and sick of this tactis six months before Adam Cole turned on him.
“When Adam Cole kicked me in the face, I realized, but before that, I felt maybe rumblings because I was in a weird place in the summer before that, maybe six months out Adam kicking my teeth down my throat. I was in a weird spot because I thought I was growing as a performer because I was sick of the tactics of The Undisputed Era. There were a lot of underhanded tactics that we used to great success, and we saw a lot of championship gold, but we were attacking guys in the parking lot; we were clobbering them in the knees with weapons, so to speak. But I wanted to be a more honorable fighter.”
Kyle O’Reilly further stated that he wanted to treat his opponents with respect and wants to play by rules but Undisputed Era is refusal to play within the rules. So, O’Reilly believes that Adam Cole senses it and took that decision to spilt-up.
“I wanted to treat my opponents with respect and play by the rules because that is the only way to prove that you are the best, and now I’m on this quest to just straight up, take on those new challengers, and no more underhanded tactics. I felt I was beyond that, and I think Adam sensed that he made the decision.”
After the Adam Cole betrayed, Kyle O’Reilly was feuded with Cole from the past few months. They also had brutal matches up against eachother over the past months. Currently, they are once again set to collide at NXT Great American Bash.
