Recently, WWE Raw Superstar Nikki Cross debuted with new look which resembles like a superhero gimmick. And this week on Monday Night Raw, Nikki Cross is changed, now she is Nikki A.S.H, ‘Almost A Superhero’. Now, it seem that name change might have come for a reason.
On the Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez was asked about the Nikki Cross name change in WWE. Then, Bryan Alvarez stated that Karrion Kross is main roster call-up is coming and Vince McMahon doesn’t want to confuse with Crosses. So, he feels that’s the reason for the Nikki Cross name change.
“That could be part of it. One of the keys is that they’re spelled differently, so I don’t know how militant Vince is going to be about having two Crosses on the main roster when one is spelled one way and another is spelled another way. My guess is that you’re right, because Karrion Kross is doing the tryout matches on main event and then Nikki Cross the same week gets a new name. So, I would not be in the least bit surprised. I’m not reporting that, everybody, but I would not be surprised if that’s why she got her new name.” (H/T: Ringside News)
Currently, Nikki Cross was on a roll on Raw with back to back wins. She also earned spot in Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match and also have chance to win the MITB briefcase, which guarantees a confirmed title shot for the women’s title.
