It’s been over a month Orton wasn’t seen on WWE TV and fans are eagerly waiting to see him back. Now, we got an update about Orton’s absence on red brand. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that Orton name has been listed on WWE’s disable/inactive list from the past month and there is no concrete reason given for missing weekly show of red brand.
It was also noted that there were no issues between the The Viper Randy Orton and WWE and both sides hoping that he will be returned back to television for the August 2nd episode of Monday Night Raw, which is three weeks before Summer Slam 2021.
Even in Orton’s absence, he has been used in the storyline with Riddle, in which former US Champion Riddle constantly asking apology for his mistake and requesting him to come back to Raw.
Sean Ross Sapp further stated that WWE have creative plans for Randy Orton and Riddle for this year’s Summer Slam but they were changed due to the unforseen circumstances involving Orton. If Randy Orton able to back to WWE at start of August, he would probably joined with Riddle.
While the initial creative plans haven’t been revealed but three weeks seems to be enough to build them towards Raw Tag Team Titles match against AJ Styles and Omos at Summer Slam 2021.
