WWE Raw Superstar Xavier Woods was absent on recent edition of Monday Night Raw. The storyline reason for Woods absence on WWE TV was being assualted by WWE Champion Bobby Lashley after their Hell In A Cell match on Raw.

After losing match against Sami Zyan at Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-View, Kevin Owens also missed Friday Night Smackdown. He also teased that he might be taking time off for few weeks but he returned back to action on this week’s Smackdown.
Now, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported the real reason for Xavier Woods and Kevin Owens absence on WWE TV. Meltzer stated that both the superstars asked for time off from WWE and both were written off to WWE TV for storyline purpose as they granted time off.
The situation with Owens was this. When he tweeted that he was going to take time off and we were told he asked for time off, it was always just a two week vacation and never to be a long-term thing. So he’s back on the 7/2 show doing a last man standing match with Zayn as a MITB qualifier. Woods had also asked for a week off so they did the angle Lashley injured him, but he’s also back this coming week.
On this week’s Friday Night Smackdown, Kevin Owens had a brutal Last Man Standing Match against Sami Zyan. Owens won the match and earned spot in Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
While, WWE announced that Xavier Woods will be back for in-ring action on next week’s Monday Night Raw. MVP and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will face Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods in tag team match.

TOMORROW NIGHT on #WWERaw @TrueKofi & @AustinCreedWins team up to take on @The305MVP & the All Mighty #WWEChampion @fightbobby!
