Bobby Lashley vs. Brock Lesnar was one of the big dream match fans wanted to see and hoped that Lesnar might return to face Lashley at WWE Summer Slam 2021. Even, Bobby Lashley also stated several times that he wanted to face The Beast but that’s not happening anytime soon.
According to the Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE have talked about Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley match for a lot but it’s constantly denied. WWE is planning long feud between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar with Paul Heyman involving. So, even if Lesnar face Lashley before moving into Roman Reigns feud, he would have to lose and that might hurt program with Roman Reigns.
“The Lesnar match was talked about a lot but constantly denied. The feeling was that Lesnar isn’t coming back for a number of shows right now, so he’d have to lose. And those in the Reigns camp see Reigns vs. Lesnar with the Heyman history as a big program not to be weakened by Lesnar doing a job or doing a non-finish with Lashley right now. Like I’ve said before, in 1985 that would be how I’d see it, but today I don’t see a Lesnar lost to Lashley this year hurting a 2023 program with Reigns vs. Lesnar,” stated Meltzer.
On this week’s Monday Night Raw, WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg returned back to WWE and challenged Allmighty Bobby Lashley for WWE Championship. It was most likely that Bobby Lashley will face Goldberg at WWE Summer Slam 2021.
