The former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa recently had an interview with Rick Ucchino of Sportskeeda and discussed about several topics. While speaking, Ciampa was asked about his thoughts on Samoa Joe’s NXT return.
Samoa Joe made a surprise return to WWE NXT on June 15th, 2021 episode after his release from WWE. On his return, NXT General Manager William Regal appointed Joe as special enforcer. On the same night, Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher battled Grizzled Young Veterans on main event.

During sometime of match, fans started chanting “Ciampa’s gonna kill you” and that time only thing Ciampa could think about was how he would love to have Samoa Joe (who has a similar chant) across him at that moment.
“I get what he’s doing. I understand that there’s chaos and it’s a crazy place right now and Regal needs the enforcer. Boy do I wanna see Samoa Joe get back in that ring though! I would be lying to you on Tuesday night when that crowd started chanting, ‘Ciampa’s gonna kill you!’…and I’d be lying to you if I wasn’t thinking like, ‘Oh! If Joe was the guy across for me this could be something crazy!'” said Tommaso Ciampa. (H/T: Sportskeeda)

Tommaso Ciampa further stated that he would love to step in the ring with Samoan Joe. He stated that he would be ashamed if he miss that opportunity to face Joe but time will tell about that.
“He’s Samoa Joe! Pretty sure I could,” said Ciampa. “Yes! Yeah…if I couldn’t then shame on me! So…I would prefer Samoa Joe the wrestler, but time will tell with that one.” (H/T: Sportskeeda)
The match between Tommaso Ciampa and Samoa Joe would be a great one and fans also looking for it. Currently, Samoa Joe working as special enforcer for NXT General Manager William Regal but it wasn’t know when he would get back to the ring.
