Tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Yuengling Center at Orlando, Florida. WWE announced only one match for tonight’s show.
The Prizefighter Kevin Owens will battle his arch rival Sami Zyan in Last Man Standing Match and winner of that match will earn the spot in Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
And also the Rated-R Superstar Edge returned back to WWE last week and attacked Universal Champion Roman Reigns. On tonight’s show, Edge will address the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.
Here The WWE Friday Night Smackdown Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– Tonight’s WWE SmackDown opened with Rated-R Superstar Edge making his way towards the ring. Edge talks about how WrestleMania 37 is supposed to be the culmination of his 10 years story, he envisioned it and just knew it would happen but then it didn’t. He didn’t saw it coming and wasn’t on his plans. Edge says his loss at WrestleMania rocked him, so, he took some time off but he rolled back the match in his brain, even, he watched it.
Edge says Universal Champion Roman Reigns likes to gloss over lot of points from that match. He says how Daniel Bryan’s tactis prevented him to win the title from Roman Reigns. Edge says he could complaint about that or Jey Uso’s interference or some other things and he would be justified in complaining. While 2006 Edge would have complained but 2021 Edge has to understand that there always be a excuses and obstacles.
Edge says he have spent his entire career knocking down obstacles or else he wouldn’t have been here. Edge says he can beat Roman Reigns, more importantly, Reigns also knows it but he will never admit it. Reigns shows the stills from WrestleMania 37, in which he applying crossface with bar to Roman Reigns.
Edge further says how he lives in Reigns head rent free for life. When his music hits last week, Reigns heard it, Edge know that Reigns known deep down. Edge says he’s going to beat Roman Reigns and it’s just a matter of time. Edge says it’s inevitable that he will become Universal Champion and exits to Backstage.
– Paul Heyman watching it at Backstage in WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns locker room suite. Jimmy Uso walks in and rants about what Edge just said. Jimmy says he’s going to tell Edge what he have said last week. Jimmy says they’re family and he got Reigns back, when Reigns is here, they’re going to put Edge down and stab their family flag in his heart. Paul Heyman stares at Jimmy to end the segment.
– Big E and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews via Pinfall in tag team match.
– Bayley makes her way to the ring for face-to-face segment with WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. Bayley rants about recent win of Belair is a fluke, then, how she and Seth Rollins win last week. She says Binaca Belair is physically strong but mentally she’s weak. Bayley says Belair is clearly crumbling at our expectations and she needs to get her head in the game before she falls apart in front of fans when crowds return in a few weeks.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair interrupts her and says Bayley needs to crack mouth because she has what Bayley wants and how she always coming for it. Then, Belair says there is one way to end this to embarass Bayley with no point of return and challenges her for I Quit match with her title on line. Bayley also accepts it.
– Paul Heyman at backstage and Jimmy Uso come in and asks if Roman Reigns is here or not. Jimmy tells Paul Heyman that Roman Reigns let know Edge is still waiting for him and he’s ready to jump on Edge. Jimmy wonders what Reigns is waiting for and then it dawns on him – Reigns is waiting for Jimmy to act first. Jimmy says he will meet Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville to save sometime for the end of the show and walks off, Paul Heyman watches him.
– Megan Morant at backstage with Edge and asks about Jimmy Uso calling him out. Edge says he knows they all are planning some kind of trap and Reigns js nearby waiting. Edge says he’s tried of Reigns, their family and tired of excuses. He says it’s fine they want to set the trap because they are going to get the angry, vindictive son of a bitch.
– Sonya Deville in the ring to announce the next entrant to women’s Money In The Bank Ladder match and it’s Zelina Vega, who’s making her return back to WWE. Zelina Vega makes her way to the ring and greets Sonya Deville. Vega says it’s Deville’s pleasure to announce her return, as it will be Vega’s pleasure to capture that briefcase. Vega says how she will wait for her chosen Women’s Champion beaten and down, then, she will cash in and fulfill her destiny of becoming the WWE NXT, RAW or SmackDown Women’s Champion.
But music hits, here comes Liv Morgan and she wasn’t happy about it. She was still upset about Carmella getting spot in MITB match and now Zelina Vega getting spot who wasn’t in the ring over the year. Vega says she’s competed in rings like this one for years, and is one of the most popular WWE Superstars in history. Then, Liv smacks her face and says Vega to prove it.
– Seth Rollins walks upto Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville at backstage and reminds them about his accomplishments and reintroduced himself. Rollins is not happy about Edge getting Universal Title shot and argues with them. Pearce and Sonya defends their decision and annouces that if Seth manages to beat Cesaro next week he’s going to get spot in Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
– We got the earlier segment of Rick Boogs taunting sad Baron Corbin with ‘king’ jokes. Corbin silently knocks down Rick for making fun of people and says it’s not funny.
– Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman at backstage and Jimmy says Edge is asking for it tonight. But he still wonders where his cousin is. Heyman says Roman Reigns operates on his own time but he does do for those who do for him. Heyman tells Jimmy to be “Main Event Jimmy” and go out there, and do what he needs to do.
– Jimmy Uso makes his way to the ring and calls out Rated-R Superstar Edge. He says he doesn’t need his brother Jey Uso and cousin Roman Reigns and he can handle Edge by all himself. Jimmy goes on and says this isn’t any kind of trap and it’s Jimmy calling out Edge and let’s do this. Then, music hits, here comes Edge.
Edge says Jimmy is acting smart all tough his cousin Roman Reigns waiting in the wings. Edge goes on about how Tribal Chief Roman Reigns using Jimmy Uso and rest of the family. Then, Edge asks about what happened to Jimmy and ‘Nobody’s Bitch’ because now he’s just another one of Roman’s bitch. Edge says it’s a good trap but not for Edge and marches towards the ring.
Jimmy tries to attack while Edge entering the ring but Edge hits Jimmy’s face to ring post. Edge continued to unload on Jimmy and took him out at ringside. Then, goes for steel steps but Jimmy hits a superkick and brings him into the ring and starts unloading on him. Then, Edge hits a kick and goes for crossface and hits a spear.
Edge then takes a chair at ringside and break it for a steel bar. Then, he applied crossface to Jimmy like he did to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37. Jimmy taps out and finally Edge removes it. Edge lets up off Jimmy and addresses the camera to send a message to Reigns. Edge yells, “I don’t stop!” and Smackdown goes off air.
