Tonight’s WWE Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Yuengling Center at Orlando, Florida. It’s the final Smackdown inside ThunderDome and WWE announced two Money In The Bank qualifying matches.
The Messiah Seth Rollins and Cesaro are feuded from past several months and again they both are set to face eachother in Money In The Bank qualifying match. WWE also announced that the new King Shinsuke Nakamura will face Baron Corbin in qualifying match for a spot in Money In The Bank Ladder match.
Two #MITB Qualifying Matches are set for next week on #SmackDown!
Here The WWE Friday Night Smackdown Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– Tonight’s WWE SmackDown opened with Paul Heyman standing infront of Roman Reigns locker room suite and Jimmy Uso trying to enter the room, he looks some anxious. Paul Heyman stops Jimmy and says Roman Reigns is headed to ring to handle something and assured that Jimmy will get attention he wants later tonight. Jimmy Uso walks off.
Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring along with Paul Heyman. Reigns says people weren’t happy about him absent last week. A lot happened last week and he also doesn’t happy with that either. Reigns says he doesn’t like liars and that’s what WWE Hall Of Famer Edge is. He reminds that he beat Edge and Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 37 and dismisses Edge comments from last week.
Now, Tribal Chief Roman Reigns mentions about family and says this might be some good time to handle some family business. Then, music interrupts, here comes Jimmy Uso. Jimmy says he got in Edge’s face last week for us, not himself, for us but Reigns didn’t show up. Jimmy further says he showed up while Reigns was on vacation.
Reigns says he didn’t tell Jimmy Uso to make his own decisions. He continued that if anyone earned vacation, it’s him, but he didn’t take them. He was doing what Jimmy couldn’t do, doing his job too. Music hits, here comes Jey Uso.
Jey says he is back for all of them. He tells to Jimmy that he always got his even in this tough times right now. Jey continued that they need to get back to what they do the best and win the Tag Team Titles once again. Reigns says this what he has been saying all long. No one can touch them if they have been together. He goes on that no one can touch them if they all do it on his way. Reigns opens his arms and The Usos hugs him. Roman Reigns and The Usos are on the same page now and segment ends.
– Kayla Braxton approaches Baron Corbin at backstage and asks about his Money In The Bank qualifier match against Shinsuke Nakamura. Corbin says he needs to win this match. He goes that his life is a mess, he lost his crown, his car, he missed house payments and is close to having his house foreclosed on. Now, Corbin about Money In The Bank again and says winning is the only way to turning his life back around.
– Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Baron Corbin via Pinfall and qualified for Money In The Bank Ladder Match. After the match, Shinsuke Nakamura celebrates with Rick Boogs. Baron Corbin looks disappointed at ringside while Big E and Pat McAfee taunts him.
– The Usos at backstage. Jimmy apologizes to Jey Uso but Jey says it’s nothing and they have been doing this since kids. Jey continued that someone like Edge will bring their family together. Jey asks Jimmy if he’s ready to take care of some family business tonight before Jimmy does. Jimmy is, but he stares ahead with a serious look on his face.
– WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina Snuka. Micheal Cole says they have been challenged by new tag team making their debuts. Natalya and Tamina Snuka cuts promo about how new tag team have challenged them in non-title match. They weren’t thrilled with it but they are ready to fight them. Music hits, here comes Shotzi BlackHeart and Tegan Nox making their debut, Shotzi riding the tank. They fire the missile and it almost hits the champs as they look on from the ring.
– Shotzi BlackHeart and Tegan Nox defeated Natalya and Tamina Snuka via Pinfall in non-title tag team match. After the match, Tegan Nox and Shotzi BlackHeart shocks and celebrates in the ring while Natalya and Tamina looking at them from the floor.
– Megan Morant at backstage with Rated-R Superstar Edge and asks about his comments on Roman Reigns and The Usos reunion earlier. Edge says he will be saving his comments for later when he’s going to call out Roman Reigns. He further take shots Reigns and The Usos, then, says it won’t going to be a happy family reunion and leaves. But he comes back and says it’s a spoiler and not a prediction.
– Sonya Deville makes her way towards the ring to talk about Bayley’s injury and also to announce the replacement for Bayley in her Smackdown Women’s Championship Match against Bianca Belair at Money In The Bank 2021 PPV.
Deville says this announcement that she never wanted to make. She announces that Bayley got injured and shows us the video message of Bayley. Bayley says this sucks as everyone wanted to see the longest reigning Smackdown Women’s Champion to win back the title. She goes on and says now that she thinks about it, the fans doesn’t care about her at all. She did this to get better for Money In The Bank, and this is all your fault. Bayley further says she doesn’t give damn about who replaces her because they won’t be better then Bayley.
Then, Sonya Deville announces that Bianca Belair will not defend her Smackdown Women’s Championship at Money In The Bank 2021 PPV, instead, she will defend her title on next week’s Friday Night Smackdown at Houston infront of live fans. Deville then reveals that Carmella will be the Belair’s opponent next week and Carmella makes her way to the ring.
Carmella brags about how beautiful and talented women in the WWE but music interrupts, here comes Liv Morgan and she wasn’t happy. Liv Morgan talks about how Carmella doesn’t earn that title shot and yells at Sonya Deville for favoritism and she just can’t appoint Carmella to a title match. Carmella interrupts her and both have words and Morgan threatens to slap her again.
Now, Deville gets louder on Morgan and says if she would listen, that she was about to name Liv Morgan as Carmella’s replacement for Money In The Bank Ladder Match. Deville says Morgan deserves it and if she doesn’t turn and get out of the ring, she might lost the chance. Liv turns and tells Carmella that she hopes Carmella to win the title because after she winning the briefcase she going to cash-in on Carmella.
Liv Morgan leaves and Binaca Belair making her way to the ring. Belair says she not sure of Bayley’s injury is real but she respects Bayley’s competitive skills and looking to finish what they have going when she returns. Belair says she’s glad to accept the title match next week and she will see Carmella next week. Belair raises her title and Carmella talks trash.
– Paul Heyman approaches Roman Reigns at Backstage and says they had a problem – Edge. Heyman says Edge planning to call out Roman Reigns tonight and also questioned Reigns manhood. Reigns looks on and he’s not happy.
– The Usos at backstage walking and stops near Edge’s locker room. Jimmy tries to knock the door but Jey stops him and says let Edge come out, so, we can get him. And now, Usos entered the Edge’s locker room but there is no in it.
– Seth Rollins celebrating his win at Backstage and Kayla Braxton approaches him. Seth says Cesaro is not on his level and he’s the present and future. Then, Seth mocks Roman Reigns. Rollins then rants about how he might cash-in the MITB briefcase on Universal Title, despite of Reigns match with Edge and says he should be the one to face Roman Reigns. Rollins turned around and Edge is standing there. Edge says Seth hasn’t changed since 2014 and he didn’t forget that. Edge goes on and says he’s going to do something that Seth Rollins never do – call out Roman Reigns.
– Chad Gable at backstage with Otis. Gable says he doesn’t care if you’re a stop star like Edge or Roman Reigns, or the Street Profits, no matter who the opponent is, I’d you’re step into the Alpha Academy, the result will be the same. Otis says he and Gable will destroy anyone.
– Rated-R Superstar Edge makes his way to the ring and mocks Roman Reigns and Usos reunion earlier. Edge says he doesn’t care how many minions Reigns had, he’s going to win the title at Money In The Bank PPV. He then shows the images of Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso, in which Edge applied submission move using chair rod. He says if anyone comes into his way will looks like this.
We go to backstage and Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and The Usos watching it. Edge gets hyped and called out Roman Reigns. Reigns says Usos to stay here and he can handle it. Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring by himself and Usos worried at Backstage as they thinks it was a trap. Then, Usos makes his way out and Reigns is surprised. He says he told them to stay back and he can handle the Edge.
Jey and Jimmy encourages Reigns to lay down the Edge and Edge calling him to the ring. Reigns steps into the ring and Edge attacked him. Both started brawling and Usos steps on to the apron, but The Mysterios music hits and The Usos looking at entrance but Rey and Dominik came from behind and hits Usos with steel chairs. They continued attacking them at ringside and Edge taking down Reigns in the ring.
The Usos fight back and they took out Mysterios. Then, entered the ring and attacked Edge and Mysterios entered the ring for Usos. Edge hits the DDT to Roman Reigns and Dominik took Usos out with 619. Then, Edge hits spear to Jey Uso and Reigns retreated to the floor and stood on the stage watching. Edge and Mysterios taking out Usos. Edge brings the rod and applies submission move using it on Jey Uso and also did the same Jimmy Uso while Reigns watching it from the stage and final Smackdown inside WWE ThunderDome goes of air.
