Aleister Black’s AEW debut left the fans shocked for an interesting reason. Black released by WWE on June 2nd, 2021 and he made an TV appearance for another promotion after 30 days but usually released WWE superstars are slated for 90-day non-compete clause.

Now, reason for his sooner appearance in another promotion revealed. According to the PWInsider reports and Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, WWE made a blunder during Aleister Black’s WWE release, that they forgot to update the non-compete from 30 to 90 days. That’s the reason why he able to make this surprise appearance on AEW.

Before his AEW debut, Aleister Black posted a video on his official Instagram account and gave a short sneak peak about his new character. 
“I often wondered how many more there were, like in my head? Those voices. I don’t know which I prefer, the endless silence or the constant dialogue. I find them both equally frightening.”
On his All Elite Wrestling debut, Aleister Black attacked Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes and made it clear that he meant for business. Tommy End also got the new name Malakai Black.
