Previously, it was reported that former NXT Champion Adam Cole WWE contract set to expire on Summer Slam weekend and WWE is yet to offer an another contract for him. With this there were several rumors surrounding around the internet about his status.

Earlier, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Adam Cole was in talks with WWE about new contract and also AEW offered an contract to Cole but he didn’t accept neither offer at the time. Now, Dave Meltzer reported that AEW President Tony Khan said that he didn’t offer any contract to Adam Cole and that there incorrect.

As per the reports, Adam Cole’s WWE contract expired after NXT Great American Bash and he signed a short-term extension deal to compete his feud with Kyle O’Reilly, which will make his to compete through Summer Slam.
