Previously, Fightful Select reported that the former NXT Champion Adam Cole was at backstage on last week’s Friday Night Smackdown for a high-level meeting with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Now, we got an update about that meeting.
Now, Fightful Select reported that the meeting went well, and Vince McMahon “seemed to have taken a liking to Adam Cole on a personal level.”
It was also noted that Adam Cole was taken straight to the Vince McMahon’s office a few hours before Smackdown goes on air and higher ups received positive feedback about the meeting.
Adam Cole wasn’t seen at backstage during the Smackdown and he might have left after the completion of meeting with Vince McMahon. It was also noted that WWE’s original plan was for Adam Cole to be brought in at the SmackDown show in Minnesota. But due to logistical reasons, officials changed the schedule and he showed up at the Tampa.

It was previously reported that Adam Cole signed an extension contract with WWE that allows him to compete through Summer Slam weekend. It was also noted that storyline pitches made for Adam Cole over the past week at backstage of Raw and SmackDown and it all comes down to whether he re-signs with WWE.
According to the WWE sources, Adam Cole has also been told that he is wanted on the main roster, and there are high chances of the former NXT Champion Adam Cole might extending his stay in the company.
