WWE Summer Slam is the second biggest event of the company after WrestleMania. Recently, WWE is back on the road and they are planning to make this year’s Summer Slam as bigger show than WrestleMania. It’s all set to take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on August 21, 2021.
But from the recent reports Summer Slam status is seemingly in doubt. According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, WWE internally expects that they will have to return back to WWE Performance Center or go to another venue with ThunderDome setup. This belief was came after raise in Covid-19 cases in United States and that may lead to restrict the large public gatherings once again.
This report also states that WWE expects to be forced to end it’s return to the road soon. If the Covid-19 cases continues to raise in coming days it would be risky to proceed the touring, so, WWE might opt to go back to WWE ThunderDome setup.
But WrestleVotes reports that there sources stated that WWE still have plans to hold Summer Slam at Allegiant Stadium as they had conversations with city and venue, currently, all things remain on track.

Additionally, WWE also recently brought a compulsory mandate that WWE fans required to wear a mask to attend the Summer Slam 2021. But currently, there is no need of proof of vaccination to attend the event but it may subjected to change.
