Previously, it was reported that the former Universal Champion Kevin Owens WWE contract set to expire in next year’s January instead of 2023 as WWE restructured his contract before the pandemic.

Before this news, Kevin Owens tweeted and deleted the coordinates to Mt. Rushmore, which was the name of a wrestling stable that featured himself, Adam Cole, and The Young Bucks in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, on his Twitter account.
Kevin Owens also teased to jump to AEW with updated his location on his Twitter profile to “Almost there,” while The Young Bucks updated their location to “There”. Now, new report suggests that The Prizefighter Kevin Owens might departure from WWE after his contract expires.
On the recent of Living The Gimmick podcast, Jon Alba reported that internal belief in the company that Kevin Owens might departure from the WWE following the end of his contract in January and he also teased several hints about moving to AEW on his Twitter account.
“In speaking with some WWE sources throughout the day, there is very much an internal belief Owens is gone at the end of his WWE deal. He has dropped multiple hints on social media in the last 24 hours that allude to him being AEW-bound,” said Alba. (H/T: Bodyslam.net)
Later on his Twitter account, Jon Alba stated that things could change in the coming months as there is a plenty time for the end of his WWE contract.
“Just for more context on this. I spoke with multiple people in #WWE today and this is just what they believe. Still plenty of time for things to change, as @SeanRossSapp noted, his deal is up in beginning of 2022. He’ll be an asset wherever he goes.”
