The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar made a surprise return to WWE at Summer Slam 2021 pay-per-view. He had a stare down with Tribal Chief Roman Reigns and his former advocate Paul Heyman which seemingly Brock Lesnar will have a program with Roman Reigns.
Previously, it was reported that Brock Lesnar signed a new contract with WWE that last for roughly a year and half, which will expire in the first half of 2023. Now, we got some more details about former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar’s contract.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Brock Lesnar have agreed to wrestle 8 to 12 matches in his new contract. It was also noted that that dates does not include TV appearance but he will do 1-2 TV appearance before the each match.
“He’s back for a number of dates,” said Meltzer. “I’ve heard 8 to 12 is the number of dates he’s back for 8 and 12 between from now until the end of the contract. I think that’s matches. I don’t think that includes TV dates. I’m sure he’s doing 1-2 TV’s before each match. Certainly the go-home shows before every match I’m sure he’s on.”
After Summer Slam appearance, Brock Lesnar didn’t show on Smackdown but WWE booked the short-term program with Finn Balor, who will challenge Roman Reigns for Universal Title on next edition of Smackdown. And possibly planning the rematch between them at Extreme Rules 2021 pay-per-view.
However, Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is a big money match and there’s is a possibility that WWE will have this big match at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October.
