The Man Becky Lynch made a surprise return at WWE Summer Slam 2021 and defeated Bianca Belair to win SmackDown Women’s Championship. Later on SmackDown, Bianca Belair challenged Becky Lynch for a rematch but she refused.
Then, Belair win the fatal-four way match to become the #1 contender for the SmackDown Women’s Title. Following week, Belair challenged Becky for a match on that night but Lynch stated that she would defend her title when she is ready. Later, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville announced that Becky Lynch will defend her title against Bianca Belair at Extreme Rules.
At Extreme Rules, Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair had a intense match up but at the end The Boss Sasha Banks came out and attacked both Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch. The match was ended in disqualification and Becky Lynch is still the champion. After the match, Banks took out both superstars and stated that she will see them on Friday Night SmackDown.
