Tonight’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown is live from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It’s Extreme Rules 2021 go-home edition of SmackDown and WWE announced two matches and a segment for the show.
Last week on SmackDown, Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez brutally attacked Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Rick Boogs and also challenged him for the IC Title rematch. On tonight’s SmackDown, King Nakamura will defend his IC Title against Apollo Crews.
Last week on SmackDown, Liv Morgan and Toni Storm got the count out win against the Carmella and Zelina Vega in tag team match after Carmella thought her nose was ruptured by Morgan. The frustrated Morgan issued a challenge to Carmella for one-on-one match at Extreme Rules.
Later at backstage segment, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville announced Carmella vs. Liv Morgan for Extreme Rules 2021 then, Zelina Vega stated that if Morgan wants Carmella at Extreme Rules then she will have to face her on this week’s SmackDown and WWE made it official.
WWE also announced the premiere Happy Corbin’s new talk-show “Happy Talk” for this Friday’s WWE SmackDown. It will help to elevate the on-going feud between Corbin and Kevin Owens. WWE has made a following announcement regarding the Corbin’s talk show:
