WWE reportedly have “serious consideration” of splitting up of the former Raw, SmackDown and NXT Tag Team Champions Street Profits during the WWE Draft 2021 but scrapped later.
According to the reports of PWInsider, WWE initially had serious plans of seperation of Street Profits with the idea of moving Montez Ford to Raw with Bianca Belair and keeping Angelo Dawkins on blue brand. But that plans were scrapped and WWE ended up splitting T-BAR and MACE, and moved Street Profits to Raw.
“There was also serious consideration put into breaking up The Street Profits with the idea of Montez Ford moving to RAW with Bianca Belair and Angelo Dawkins remaining on Smackdown. That talk lessened over the course of last week and instead, T-Bar and Mace ended up split as a team as of last Friday’s Smackdown.”
WWE also broke up several tag teams during the week Draft this year. The New Day got split up once again by moving Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to SmackDown and keeping Big E on Raw. Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox, who joined SmackDown earlier this year, also got split up, with the Shotzi staying on the blue brand and Tegan Nox headed to Raw.
WWE also broke up former Women’s Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina with Natalya heading to SmackDown while the red brand picked Tamina. Another faction that got separated in the WWE Draft is the trio of Jinder Mahal, Veer, and Shanky. Veer has stayed on Raw, while Jinder Mahal and Shanky moving to blue brand.
