The former Universal Champion Bray Wyatt was unexpectedly released from WWE on 31st July, 2021. Company claimed that Wyatt released was due to budget cut, but Wyatt was allegedly unhappy and wanted out.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio recently spoke about the Bray Wyatt’s WWE release and stated that the only read for someone like Bray Wyatt would get released of they wanted it.
“Bray Wyatt is a completely different situation. Wyatt scared a lot of people because if someone like Wyatt gets fired, then only guys like Roman Reigns, Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar are safe. I think that’s not really the case when you are at that level. The only reason someone would want to cut someone like that would be if they wanted out and made a lot of noise about it,” Meltzer said.

The former WWE Superstar Bray Wyatt had one of the bigger contracts in WWE before he was released by the company. Even though he had a good contract but it did not have a no-cut clause which left him open to be fired by the company at any time.
”It’s how they ‘got’ Windham Rotunda. He was going to get 3 mil, 3 year term. They went to a 5 year term. He held. They inched up towards 4. He jumped at it. But it’s still a 90 day contract. And with the higher number, it takes less and less to trigger the release,” revealed a WWE source to Dave Meltzer.
