The former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy unexpectedly released from his WWE contract on December 9, 2021. The reason for his release was his refusal to go to rehab, after he walking out of WWE Live event. However, it is still disputed as to the real reasons behind his release and whether he actually needed rehab.
Now, we got some backstage details about WWE plans for Jeff Hardy before his release. According to the Fightful Select reports, Jeff Hardy was set to be the “Shaman” for MSK on WWE NXT 2.0. For the weeks, Wes Carter and Nash Lee had been appearing in vignettes, looking for this mysterious individual who was seemingly their mentor and it was ultimately revealed as Riddle.
This report notes that The Charismatic Enigma Jeff Hardy was originally set to assign the role of Shaman in NXT 2.0 and WWE also filmed few segments between MSK and Jeff Hardy. Unfortunately, they didn’t use that segments as Jeff Hardy got released by the company.
