Mustafa Ali shocked the wrestling world by publicly asking for his release from the WWE via his social media account. Now, we got some details behind his WWE absence.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported the backstage reason behind his absence from WWE television. Previously, it was reported that he was on paternity leave back in November 2021, but that seemingly wasn’t the case. Ali had asked to only miss one show. However, WWE sent Ali home for an extended period, which was not his paternity leave.

This report further stated that the backstage argument between the WWE Boss Vince McMahon and Mustafa Ali may have been one of the several reasons he asked for his WWE release.
