After the former Universal Champion Finn Balor losing to Austin Theory on Monday Night Raw, there were reports stated that WWE Boss Vince McMahon given up the pushing Balor as top star. But there were some reports suggests that Vince McMahon doesn’t want Finn Balor to go to AEW.
According to Ringside News reports, Vince McMahon was never a fan of The Prince Finn Balor, even when they made his first ever Universal Champion. WWE is aware that “AEW would bend over backward” for Finn Balor, believing Tony Khan would be willing to sign Balor once his deal is up.
“Vince never had faith in Balor. Even when he made him the first Universal Champion. Paul Heyman would feel much differently if he was still Executive Director of RAW. That being said, WWE has not released the first-ever Universal Champion. His contract isn’t cheap, but ‘even if he’s making a million a year, that’s not a lot of money by today’s standards,” the report said.
Finn Balor had a major run during his second tenure on the NXT brand, where he recaptured the NXT Championship. Later, WWE moved him to SmackDown and also had feud with Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Then, He moved to Raw during the WWE Draft.
