WWE Royal Rumble 2022 pay-per-view is scheduled to take place on January 29, 2022, at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The annual 30-Men Royal Rumble Match and 30-Women Royal Rumble match will take place at the event and winners of the match will get Title opportunity of their chosen at WrestleMania 38.
The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns will defend his Universal Championship against Seth Rollins and The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar will defend his WWE Championship against Bobby Lashley.
WWE also announced that The Man Becky Lynch will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Doudrop and The Edge & Beth Phoenix will battle The Miz & Maryse in mixed tag team match.

– Seth Rollins defeated Roman Reigns via disqualification but Roman Reigns is still Universal Champion. At the closing moments, Reigns went for Guillotine lock on Rollins in the ring. Rollins able to touch the bottom rope but Reigns didn’t release the lock. Referee warned Reigns and counted five and called for the bell for disqualification.
After the bell, the referee yells at Reigns to break the hold but Reigns rants about Rollins deserving this and forcing him to do this. Reigns finally breaks the hold and gets back to his feet. Fans started chanting “Roman sucks!”. Rollins is still down and Reigns slowly exits the ring and takes a steel chair.
He went to Seth Rollins, who is finally up to his knees but still dazed. Then, Reigns delivers a big chair shot to the back as soon as Rollins stands up. Reigns unloads on Rollins with chair shots while he’s down now. Reigns goes to exit the ring but he changes his mind and brings another chair in and talks some trash before unloading with more chair shots to Rollins back and arms while he rolls around in pain.
The loud boos continued as Reigns stops and raises his one finger high in the air. Reigns tosses the chair and makes his exit, grabbing the Universal Title belt and walking up the ramp while fans talk trash to him. Reigns is also talking to himself while he walking back on ramp. Rollins is still down on the mat as Reigns walks through the entrance-way to the backstage area. Rollins sits up to his knees.
– Ronda Rousey won the 30-Women Royal Rumble match by last eliminating SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and earned the Raw or SmackDown Women’s Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 38.
– Becky Lynch defeated Doudrop via pinfall and successfully retained her Raw Women’s Championship.
– Bobby Lashley defeated Brock Lesnar via pinfall and became the new WWE Champion. At the closing moments, Brock goes for F5 on Lashley and referee is down by hitting Lashley’s leg. Then, Roman Reigns came out of nowhere and delivered a spear to Brock Lesnar.
Now, Reigns looks at Paul Heyman and Heyman gives him WWE Title. Lesnar gets into his feet and Reigns levels him down with WWE Title. Reigns left the ring and Heyman joins the his at ringsiy. Now, Bobby Lashley comes in and pins Lesnar to win the WWE Title.
After the bell, Roman Reigns is all smiles as he heads to the stage with Paul Heyman. Lashley’s takes the WWE Title and begins his celebration in the ring. Lashley and MVP head up the ramp as Lashley slaps hands with fans and they chant his name. Lashley continues posing for fans on his way up the ramp.
– Edge and Beth Phoenix defeated The Miz and Maryse via pinfall in mixed tag team match.
– Brock Lesnar won the 30-Men Royal Rumble match by last eliminating Drew McIntyre and earn the WWE or Universal Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 38 main event.
