RK-Bro tag team become the most successful team in WWE quickly, they also won the Raw Tag Team Titles at Summer Slam event, which they recently lost to Alpha Academy. Now, it seems that WWE is planning to break up Randy Orton and Riddle.
According to the WrestleVotes reports, WWE initially planned for Riddle and Randy Orton to face off at Summer Slam but they instead won the Raw Tag Team Championship from AJ Styles and Omos at the event. Then, they hold off the plans of RK-Bro’s split until WrestleMania 38.
It was also noted that the majority of the creative team is against Riddle and Randy Orton breaking up. And if that split happens, it could lead to a WWE Championship match between Orton and Riddle.
WWE had plans since the pairing began last spring for Riddle vs Randy Orton @ SummerSlam, which didn’t happen. Plan was to hold off til Mania. I’m told now only a handful of creative members want to spilt them, w/ the idea that if the match happens, it should be for the WWE title.

Previously, it was reported that Riddle was originally slated to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match. So, with that potential match plans company might have considered Riddle or Orton to win the Rumble match but plans then changed and Brock Lesnar won the match.
