The former TNT Champion Cody Rhodes officially parted ways with All Elite Wrestling and there were many reports emerged on the internet that Rhodes is going back WWE. Now, we got some more news regarding his move to WWE.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Cody Rhodes’ announcement was being “actively hyped” by those within WWE. With word of the reveal being “spread heavily” among those in the know at WWE about 15 minutes before the bombshell was dropped on the wrestling world.

While Sean Ross Sapp is unable to confirm that Cody Rhodes signed a contract with WWE, many within the company believe that it will happen sooner rather than later. It’s also noted that potential return of The American Nightmare to WWE has been a hot topic among those in the locker room this week.
Many believe that Rhodes “fell out of power in AEW and wanted a significant raise,” although this has not been confirmed by either Cody Rhodes or Tony Khan at this time. Sapp also noted that the general feeling among those who he have spoken in the WWE locker room was described as “excitement and shock” and that there are “several top stars” who intend to welcome Cody Rhodes back into the locker room with “open arms.”
One top name told to Sean Ross Sapp that he believes “it will be great for fans” as the star’s potential return has already captivated the wrestling world. If Rhodes does sign with WWE, this development could make the Road to WrestleMania 38 even more exciting.
