At Elimination Chamber 2022, The AllMighty Bobby Lashley set to defend his WWE Championship against Brock Lesnar, Austin Theory, AJ Styles, Seth Rollins and Riddle in Elimination Chamber match. But Lashley was taken out of the match after suffering an injury early in the match.
Initially, it seems like injury happened due Austin Theory crashing into Lashley’s pos after Seth Rollins buckle bomb to Theory. Medical assistance team came to check on Lashley and taken him out of the match. However, latest reports suggest this was planned from the beginning.

According to the Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE knew about Bobby Lashley’s injury well in advance. Lashley was hurt during his match with Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble, so, creative team planned the concussion protocol angle to remove him from the Elimination Chamber match.
“It’s almost, for sure, from that Lesnar match, so they’ve known for a few weeks that he’s not in this Chamber match,” said Meltzer. (H/T: Ringside News)
The former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will reportedly undergo shoulder surgery and will be out for at least four months. He was also expected to miss WrestleMania this year.
