Liv Morgan successfully retained her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Ronda Rousey at WWE Summer Slam 2022 in controversial way. The ending of the match, Morgan get trapped in an arm bar by Rousey while the latter’s shoulders were down on the mat. Morgan tapped out at the same time the referee counted the pinfall and Morgan announced as winner.
Following the match, the former NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler took to Twitter to express her thoughts on the match. She stated that a true champion shouldn’t accept a win like that. And also stated that Ronda Rousey was the rightful champion.
