The former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt made his massive return to WWE at Extreme Rules 2022 premium live event. Following his return, it seems that he’s also forming new stable with his FireFly Fun House characters. Then, there were rumors suggest the company was interested in getting AEW’s Malakai Black for Wyatt’s faction.
Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated that WWE is interested in bringing back former NXT Champion Aleister Black for Wyatt’s group but it wouldn’t happen as Black still expected to resume his AEW run again.
“While obviously, this won’t happen, there was talk of Aleister Black for this group,” stated Meltzer.
Malakai Black has been in All Elite Wrestling since 2021 and is presently on a hiatus from the ring. Initially, fans believed that Black had asked for his release from Tony Khan’s company before he publicly squashed the reports in an Instagram Live video. Considering Black’s current contractual status in AEW, it’s improbable that WWE will go back to the idea of booking him alongside Bray Wyatt.
