At Extreme Rules 2022 premium live event, The EST of WWE Bianca Belair defeated Bayley in a Ladder match to retain her Raw Women’s Championship. On the October 24th episode of Monday Night Raw, Bayley defeated Belair in a non-title match with a distraction by Nikki Cross, who returned to her previous NXT gimmick. Following that win, Bayley earned another title match against Bianca Belair, which was scheduled for Crown Jewel and with a stipulation of Last Woman Standing match.
