Tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw is live from the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, IA. Paul Heyman at backstage. He’s holding the gold belonging to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Heyman welcomes us and introduces himself as the representative for Roman Reigns. The camera now shows Reigns sitting down in front of Heyman.
Roman Reigns says Monday Night Raw is the home of Kevin Owens, the home that Owens continues to leave and continues to try and crash the Gates of The Island of Relevancy, and now he’s went and got John Cena. Reigns says Owens will need way more than that, he will need the entire WWE Raw locker room, to have his back, because you’ve interfered in Roman Reigns’ business too much, so now it’s time they return the favor and show the resources and juice they’ve got.
Roman Reigns further says they will make Owens’ life a living hell until everyone acknowledges The Bloodline. We now cut backstage to the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa. The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos are yelling into the camera, while Solo Sikoa man-handles Mustafa Ali and one other person behind them, and Sami Zayn stands by as well. – Kevin Patrick welcomes us and he’s joined at ringside by Corey Graves for the tonight’s show.

– The Street Profits defeated The Judgement Day via pinfall. At the closing moments of the match, Akira Tozawa walks over and has words with Ripley and Mysterio, which distracts Balor. Tozawa throws liquid from his red Solo cup into Mysterio’s face, which aggravates his eye injury from last week. The distraction allows Ford to roll Balor up for the pin to win.
After the match, The Profits and Akira Tozawa head to the ramp to celebrate while The Judgment Day tries to recover. Graves says that wasn’t water in Tozawa’s cup, he can smell it. Ripley marches up to the ramp and yells at Tozawa, then drops him with a single shot. Ripley calls Tozawa to the ring, saying he will fight her if he’s man enough. Ripley returns to the ring to wait on Tozawa. The Profits hype Tozawa up for match.
– Rhea Ripley defeated Akira Tozawa via pinfall. After the match, Rhea Ripley stands tall and The Judgment Day poses over Tozawa now.
– We see what happened last week with Bobby Lashley and Adam Pearce. Pearce is backstage on the phone now, and Cathy Kelley is standing by. Pearce yells at Paul Heyman on his voicemail, wanting Heyman to return his calls about what’s going down tonight. Cathy asks Pearce about the Lashley situation. Pearce says they talked it over this week and it will be a matter of when Lashley comes back. MVP walks up and wants to have a word with Pearce. Pearce tells MVP he will see him in his office, but a referee rushes over and says something has happened at the loading docks. Pearce rushes off to the docks and Kelley follows.
– The officials are tending to Dolph Ziggler, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin at backstage. They have just been attacked. Cathy asks Ziggler what happened and he says The Bloodline happened.
– Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows defeated The Alpha Academy via pinfall. After the match, Gallows and Anderson stand tall and The O.C. is celebrating but suddenly The Bloodline rushes the ring. They took down Anderson and Gallows with the 1D. Adam Pearce and WWE officials come marching to the ring.
– Sami Zayn is in the ring with The Usos. Adam Pearce is at ringside with security and WWE officials. Pearce orders them to get out of the ring. The Usos say they run the show. Sami Zayn asks Pearce what his problem is because he’s the only one who doesn’t want The Bloodline out here because the fans love them. Sami doesn’t appreciate Pearce rushing his dawgs, and they will always deliver their message.
Sami Zayn goes on and says what we saw tonight is just a small taste of what he and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will do to Kevin Owens and John Cena on the December 30th edition of Friday Night SmackDown. Pearce is about to send security into the ring but Sami says fine, they will leave. The Usos mocks the Raw locker room one more time before exiting the ring. AJ Styles suddenly attacks but security and officials get in the middle. The two sides are backed away to the back as officials try and restore order.
– We see what happened last week with Alexa Bliss and Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
– AJ Styles at backstage arguing with Adam Pearce now. AJ Styles wants a match with anyone from The Bloodline. Pearce books AJ Styles vs. Sami Zayn for tonight and AJ walks off.
– We go to Byron Saxton backstage, who is sitting with Alexa Bliss and RawWomen’s Champion Bianca Belair for an interview. Saxton asks Alexa Bliss about what happened last week as she briefly changed and teased an attack on Bianca Belair. Belair says she wants to know the same and right now she doesn’t trust Bliss. Bliss can’t explain what’s going on right now but she can talk about what got her to this point.
Bliss says Bray Wyatt abducted her, turned her into this dark evil version of herself, then he just left her, left her broken with abandonment issues, took everything from her. She was alone, but everyone said she was the crazy one. She went to therapy but all that did was turn her into a shell of a human she doesn’t even recognize, but she’s trying to work through it. Bliss says her friendship with Belair and Asuka has made her realize she’s stronger than she thought and if she has nothing to lose, it means she has everything to gain, starting with the Raw Women’s Title.
Bianca Belair shakes her head and says she heard Bliss and sympathizes with her but she doesn’t believe Alexa Bliss when she says she can’t explain what happened when she did the change last week. She knows what Alexa Bliss is capable of and she’s seen what Bray Wyatt is capable of. Alexa Bliss says Binaca Belair is making this about Bray Wyatt when it’s all about her. She says Bray Wyatt is no threat to Bianca Belair but Alexa Bliss is. She’s been winning titles since before Belair came in and she will do it again.
Bianca Belair tells her to come do it then. Saxton cuts them off and says we’re looking forward to the match. Bray Wyatt’s logo flashes on the screen in the background. Saxton thanks them. Bianca Belair thanks him and turns to leave but Alexa Bliss grabs a vase of roses, then smashes it over the back of Bianca Belair’s head. Bliss walks away as Saxton calls for help to tend to Belair. Alexa Bliss vs. Bianca Belair is announced for the January 2nd edition of Monday Night Raw from Nashville.
– The Miz defeated Dexter Lumis in Winner Takes All Ladder match with help of Bronson Reed. At the closing moments of the match, The Miz brings the ladder in and starts climbing for the money. Lumis rushes back in and meets him at the top of the ladder. Lumis knocks Miz to the mat. Lumis climbs but Bronson Reed appears in the ring, making his WWE return. Reed sends Lumis face-first into the ladder, then levels him with a running splash. Reed goes to the top and hits the big Tsunami splash to Lumis. Reed pulls Miz back to his feet, and helps him to the ladder. Miz climbs up and grabs the money for the win.
After the match, The Miz celebrates and Bronson Reed looks on. The Miz raises the money in the air and celebrates with Bronson Reed.
– Seth Rollins at backstage getting ready for his appearance. He throws his new custom Iowa t-shirt on the head of a staffer.
– Sami Zayn defeated AJ Styles via pinfall with help of Solo Sikoa. After the match, Sami Zayn joins Solo Sikoa at ringside. Adam Pearce comes out and yells at them both as they head to the backstage.
– Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring for a pop from his hometown crowd. Seth Rollins takes the mic and welcomes us to Monday Night Rollins. Fans chant “welcome home!”. Seth Rollins says what a night it has been. He says The Bloodline has been attacking everyone but him. Rollins tells The Bloodline to take a message to Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and that is – Mondays do not belong to you, they belong to The Visionary, The Revolutionary, to Seth freakin’ Rollins. The music hits and here comes WWE United States Champion Austin Theory. Their title match was confirmed for January 2nd edition of Monday Night Raw.
Fans boo and chant “you suck!” as Austin Theory enters the ring. Seth Rollins plays to the crowd for a pop and says just to be clear, Theory sucks, right? Fans agree. Theory says nothing belongs to Seth Rollins. Theory brings up how Rollins says this title was THE title of Raw, and that could mean only one thing – The Champ Is Here! Fans boo some more. Theory says whether Rollins likes it or not, The Austin Theory Era is forever and this is just the beginning. Fans continue booing.
Austin Theory says whether Seth Rollins likes it or not, he will pass the torch and if he doesn’t, Theory will take it from his cold, legendary fingers. Rollins says Merry Christmas to you, too, kid. Rollins tells him to keep his cool because we don’t want him ending up like Bobby Lashley. Theory says Rollins is only here because Lashley took his anger out on officials, not Rollins. Theory says Rollins got lucky like he has his entire career. Rollins wonders why Theory is so angry because he’s young, in great shape, looks phenomenal, and while he does suck… a “you suck!” chant starts back up. Theory raises the title.
Seth Rollins says Austin Theory has grown up, he’s no longer Mr. Selfie or daddy’s little boy, he is the United States Champion but as much as the title means, there is one thing that means more, and Theory knows deep down he will never have or be, as long as Rollins is here, and that is… he will never be Rollins. Fans pop. Seth Rollins says Theory is not on his level. Fans sing Rollins’ theme now as Rollins taunts Theory. Theory says he sees right through Rollins. He asks how many times Rollins has been given the ball only to fumble it.
Theory says Rollins has seen the mountain top but that was only a peak, and Theory is coming for Mount Everest. Theory goes on and says one day Rollins will realize he was only the third most successful member of The Shield. How does that sound? Rollins gets hyped up and says he is the mountain top, he is Everest. The title doesn’t make the man, the man makes the title, so let’s find out what kind of man, what kind of champion, Theory is, right now.
Seth Rollins challenges Austin Theory to a fight. But The Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos appear in the font row now. Seth Rollins says we’ve got company, he and Austin Theory can deal with this later. Seth Rollins and Austin Theory prepare to fight side-by-side now. But Austin Theory grabs his title and runs away as The Usos hit the apron.
Fans boo as Rollins is left all alone. The Usos enter the ring but Rollins attacks. They beat him down. The music hits and here comes Kevin Owens to make the save to a big pop. Jimmy Uso attacks at ringside but Owens sends him into the barrier. Owens goes in and fights with Jey Uso now. Rollins and Owens clear the ring of The Usos as fans cheer them on. Adam Pearce and officials come down to prevent The Usos from running back in. Rollins says it’s nice to see Owens again. Rollins proposes a match and Owens agrees. Pearce makes the match official for tonight.
– Becky Lynch at backstage with words for Bayley. She says the best version of Bayley is a solo act, and she wants that version tonight. She says they are a lot alike – they’ve been underestimated and under-appreciated, they rose up and changed the game, and when it’s all said and done, both will have careers they are very proud of. They’ve both done things they’re not so proud of but the difference is, Lynch did those all by herself.
Becky Lynch goes on and says while Bayley took her out for months, she didn’t even have the decency to do it by herself. If you’re going to stab Becky in the back, have the decency to hold the knife herself. Becky Lynch says one-on-one or one-on-three, either way she will be ready. Win or lose, she will die on her own sword and Bayley can’t say the same thing.
– Bayley defeated Becky Lynch via pinfall with help of WWE Women’s Tag Team champions Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. At the closing moments of the match, Becky Lynch goes for the Man-Handle Slam but SKY and Kai pull Bayley to safety on the floor. Becky Lynch with a baseball slide to knock them back.
Becky Lynch grabs a TV monitor and threatens IYO SKY and Dakota Kai as they corner her at ringside. The referee ejects SKY and Kai to the back, and Damage CTRL is not happy. Kai ends up in the ring as Lynch kicks her. Bayley comes from behind and hits Lynch with the TV monitor while the referee is distracted by Kai and SKY. Bayley follows up with the Rose Plant for the pin to win.
– The announcers hype tonight’s main event, and we see what led to the match. Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins are at backstage having some friendly words. Owens says what has happened no longer matters as tonight is all about beating the hell out of The Bloodline.
– Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins defeated The Usos via pinfall in non-title match. After the match, Kevin Owens stands tall in the ring and looks out to Seth Rollins, who is down and trying to recover at ringside. Kevin Owens is celebrating now but Sami Zayn comes from behind. Owens turns around and Sami backs up into the corner.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn face off and have a few words but Sami Zayn exits the ring before a fight breaks out. Fans boo as Sami Zayn leaves the ring. Sami Zayn joins The Usos and Sikoa at the bottom of the ramp now. The announcers hype the upcoming Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown episodes. Kevin Owens yells at The Bloodline from the ring as Seth Rollins gets back to his feet at ringside and the final Monday Night Raw of 2022 goes off air.
