On the 30th anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw, The Man Becky Lynch is set to face The Role Model Bayley in a steel cage match. But before the match started, Damage CTRL brutally attacked Becky Lynch and the match didn’t happen. Later, it was reported that The Bloodline segment went lengthy and that led to canceling the steel cage match. Now, we got another update about the Becky Lynch vs. Bayley match.
According to the PWInsider reports, the former Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch was scheduled to win the Steel Cage match against Damage CTRL’s Bayley before the match was cut short and scrapped.
“The steel cage match between Becky Lynch and Bayley did not go as envisioned on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The original plan was for Becky to win and then be beaten down by Damage CTRL.”
Nia Jax As Surprise Entrant In Women’s Royal Rumble
With the Royal Rumble premium live event approaching, we have seen many rumors about the surprise returns of the Royal Rumble match. One of the latest names is former WWE Superstar Nia Jax, who seems to be a surprise entrant in the Women’s Royal Rumble match as per the latest reports.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, there have been talks of former WWE Superstar Nia Jax taking part in this weekend’s Women’s Royal Rumble match. While Johnson wouldn’t guarantee her involvement, he made it clear it was something he heard that made him believe she could return as a surprise this Saturday night event.
The former Raw Women’s Champion Nia Jax was released by the company in November 2021 and hasn’t wrestled since then. At one point, she was scheduled for AOP’s Wrestling Entertainment Series event in England before pulling herself off the show.
WWE Cancelled Advertised Match After Brock Lesnar’s Surprise Return
The Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar returned to WWE on the 30th-anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw and interfered in the No-Disqualification United States Championship match. He F5’d Bobby Lashley, then, delivered another F5 to Theory over the top of Lashley, which led Theory to retain the US Title.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the advertised post-show Street Fight between Seth Rollins and Austin Theory was cancelled due to how Brock Lesnar’s return ended the broadcast. This report stated that there was no dark segment despite Seth Rollins vs. Austin Theory being advertised. He added that since Lesnar “wrecked” Theory and Lashley, that wasn’t going to happen.
