WWE Reportedly Has No Plans For AJ Styles And Randy Orton At WrestleMania 39
The management of WWE is going all out for WrestleMania 39 despite the absence of some prominent names. Despite rumors of The Rock’s return, Cody Rhodes’ win at the Royal Rumble and his scheduled main event against The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns have put those rumors to rest.
While some fans may be disappointed not to see The Rock face Roman Reigns this year in Los Angeles, this could be a blessing in disguise. However, the absence of two other former World Champions, Randy Orton and AJ Styles, is not as fortunate.
Orton has been dealing with back problems and has not been seen on WWE TV since May of last year, and Styles has been out of action since December 2022 due to an ankle injury. A recent report from The Wrestling Blog reports that there is no current plans for AJ Styles, and Randy Orton for this year WrestleMania by WWE as of right now. But there is a chance that these two world-renowned superstars will make an appearance at SoFi Stadium in April.
Theres no current plans for AJ Styles, and Randy Orton for this year wrestlemania as of right now. This is due because of their injuries, there’s high hopes that both can return before wrestlemania but they are taking it day by day, to decide what to do.
Former Champion Will No Longer Be Appearing On Monday Night Raw
WWE Hall of Famer JBL became Lone Wolf Baron Corbin’s manager back in October 2022. Bradshaw also got Corbin moved to Monday Night RAW, and Rey Mysterio moved to Friday Night SmackDown. Initially, Corbin won several matches against former rivals and champions on the red brand with the help of JBL. However, Corbin began to lose matches even with Bradshaw’s assistance.
Two weeks ago, Corbin lost a qualifying match to Johnny Gargano for Elimination Chamber. Last Monday, Lone Wolf lost to Dexter Lumis, which made JBL end his alliance with Baron Corbin on WWE Raw.
According to the PWInsider reports, WWE Hall of Famer JBL will not be seen on WWE programming going forward. It looks like his run as Corbin’s manager has ended for the foreseeable future.
WWE Hall Of Famer Wants To See Sami Zayn Potentially Challenge Cody Rhodes For World Titles
Sami Zayn is set to face The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal title on February 18th at Elimination Chamber premium live event. However, with Cody Rhodes waiting to face the winner at WrestleMania 39 in April, many are expecting The Tribal Chief to come away with a win against Sami Zayn.
Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff explained that Sami Zayn could win the world title against a star like Cody Rhodes later this year.
“I think within the next six months Sami is going to be right there. I could see Sami and Cody down the line if indeed Cody comes out of it as WWE Champion. Not yet, but very soon. Does he have the talent? He has enough talent to share. I think the crowd needs to view Sami in that role for just a little bit longer, that upper third of the roster. I think if they do it, in the next six months, absolutely yes. I think if they did it right now, it’d be a bit too soon.” (H/T: WrestlingInc)
