The former WWE US Champion Robert Roode has been out of action for a long time. According to the recent reports, Robert Roode WWE return may be delayed as he required some more time to recover from injury.
After a long and successful career in TNA Wrestling, Robert Roode signed with WWE in 2016. During his run with the company, Roode held the NXT Title and also became the United States Champion, Raw Tag Team Champion, and SmackDown Tag Team Champion following his main roster debut.
Robert Roode’s last WWE appearance came on the last June 6th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw, where he and Dolph Ziggler appeared for an interview segment on the stage but would be interrupted Omos and MVP. Ziggler then superkicked MVP and both Roode and Ziggler were chased out of the arena by Omos.
Last September, it was reported that Roode underwent a procedure and would be out of action indefinitely. He also posted a photo of Southlake Orthopaedics in Birmingham, Alabama. He thanked Southlake and Andrew Sports Medicine and attached a photo to the post that indicated he underwent surgery. It was later revealed that Roode had his C5 and C6 vertebrae fused.
According to the Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports, the former NXT Champion Robert Roode is “still expected to be out quite some time.”
