According to the recent reports, the current WWE NXT Superstar Von Wagner is reportedly being positioned for the WWE WrestleMania main event push.
On the April 11th episode of WWE NXT, Von Wagner lost a match to Ilja Dragunov, and the stipulation of that match was that if Wagner lost, Mr Stone would walk away from being his manager. However, April 18th edition of NXT, we saw a shift in presentation for the heel character, with Von Wagner begging Robert Stone to not leave him.
According to the Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE wants Von Wagner to main event WrestleMania but Wagner needs to get charisma that main event level.
“He’s tall, he’s got blond hair, they want him to main event WrestleMania, but you need charisma to get to that level” (WrestleTalk.com)
His recent character shift may be a chance for Wagner to show his charismatic side, because, to this point, he’s only been presented as a quiet monster heel and hasn’t had the chance to show that.
