The former WWE United States Champion Carlito made his surprise appearance at WWE Backlash 2023 to help Bad Bunny against The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight, alongside fellow WWE legend Savio Vega. Carlito received huge response from the fans for his return.
There were rumors emerged about Carlito possibly signing with WWE as he canceled upcoming indie bookings. Now we got a new report about his WWE return. According to the PWInsider reports, Carlito makes his return to the company on July 7th edition of Friday Night SmackDown which will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Following WWE Backlash 2023 premium live event, Carlito expressed interest in possibly doing more with WWE. Previously, it was reported that WWE officials were “very happy” with the return as several people backstage and also discussed several pitches in recent years to bring Carlito in for brief or full-time runs.
But following the WWE Backlash Weekend, it’s noted that Carlito’s appearance was only a one-off, it was also said that this could always change. Earlier this month, he was seen in Orlando, and now there were reports that Carlito returning for full-time.
