Following a brief hiatus, former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre returned at the Money in the Bank event in London, England. However, his recent statement indicats that he may not be sure about committing his long-term future with company.
Drew McIntyre recently appeared as special guest on WWE’s The Bump discussed about several topics. During the interview, McIntyre was asked about his recent absence and his future goals in the WWE. Here what McIntyre replied:
“I just want to apologize for [sic] everybody, that I missed my dates, I missed the towns. It’s not like me unless there’s a reason. Obviously, the rumor and innuendo is [sic] out there. What’s going on with Drew McIntyre? What’s going on with the future? The future doesn’t matter. What matters is the present.” (H/T Fightful)
On his return at Money In The Bank 2023, Drew McIntyre set his sight on the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He attacked current champion GUNTHER and made a big statement. Previously, Drew McIntyre challenged GUNTHER for the WWE Intercontinental title at WrestleMania 39 in Triple Threat match, with Sheamus being the other challenger, which was won by GUNTHER.
