Jey Uso and Roman Reigns are expected to face each other once more at SummerSlam 2023 with world title on line, and many are wondering how it will end. It seems that Jey Uso is most likely set to lose against The Tribal Chief Roma Reigns in highly anticipated match as per the new reports.
The Usos defeating Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank 2023 was a monumental moment in The Bloodline saga. Jey Uso pinned Roman Reigns for the first time in three years at the event and fans believe his record-breaking championship run could soon be coming to an end.
During the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that Jey Uso losing to Roman Reigns was the “obvious” outcome at Summer Slam 2023. It’s also noted that WWE could start feud between Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa following this match at Summer Slam. Here what Dave Meltzer said:
“The obvious thing is, you know, that Jey’s losing to Roman. And so Jey and Solo can have a big feud afterward, and Jey can get a big win over Solo with something that Roman does to cost Solo the match, which builds up the split between Solo and Roman, right? And then you’ve got the direction there and leading into whatever you’re doing for WrestleMania [40].” (H/T: WrestlingNews.co)
On last week’s Friday Night SmackDown, The Usos held trial on Tribal Chief Roman Reigns in the opening segment. Initially it felt like Roman Reigns seemed remorseful about how he’d treated his cousins, but The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion stunned Jey Uso with a low blow and Solo Sikoa took out Jimmy Uso.
Later on the show, Roman Reigns called out Jey Uso. He showed up and attacked Roman Reigns. He also took out Solo Sikoa with multiple chair shots. Main Event Jey also challenged Roman Reigns for a one-on-one match with the title on line before Smackdown went off air. It’s officially not confirmed yet but it ideally happen at Summer Slam 2023.
