Recently there were reports that a major match involving WWE Undisputed Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens to take place at Summer Slam 2023 but it is no longer scheduled to take place, as per a new report.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 39 by defeating The Usos. Since then Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have defended the titles on multiple occasions, with their most recent defense coming against Pretty Deadly on the Friday Night SmackDown before Money in the Bank 2023 premium live event.
Recently, there were rumors that Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano will reunite on main roster, and also some sources reported that they challenge Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the tag titles at Summer Slam 2023.
However, according to the BWE (via Nodq) reports, that the rumored tag titles match between Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens and DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) won’t be happening at the biggest party of the summer, Summer Slam.
The former NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa recently returned to WWE TV on the June 19th edition of Monday Night Raw. He answered The Miz’s open challenge and won the match. But Johnny Gargano yet to make his return to WWE TV.
