WWE Money In The Bank 2023 Results: Seth Rollins Retains WWE World Heavyweight Championship

During the May 8 edition of Monday Night Raw, Seth “Freakin” Rollins emerged victorious over Finn Bálor in the semifinals of the tournament and Rollins went on to clinch the WWE World Heavyweight Championship title at Night of Champions on May 27th.

In the subsequent episode of Raw, Rollins achieved another triumph by defeating Bálor and Damian Priest in a tag team match against the members of Judgment Day. This encounter paved the way for a title match the following week, where Rollins successfully defended his championship against Priest. As the match concluded, Bálor and Rollins found themselves face-to-face.

On June 12, Bálor issued a challenge to Rollins, reminiscing about their clash at SummerSlam in 2016 when Rollins inflicted an injury that forced Bálor to relinquish the inaugural Universal Championship and disrupted his career. Bálor vowed to replicate history by dethroning Rollins and claiming the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank. Responding to the challenge, Rollins accepted Bálor’s proposition for a title match at Money in the Bank.

On Money In The Bank 2023 premium live event, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins faced Judgement Day’s Finn Balor in singles match with title on line. In a hard hitting contest, Seth Rollins came top and defeated Finn Balor to retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

At the closing moments of the match, Damian Priest comes out with his Money In the Bank briefcase. Fans chant “cash it in!” now. Balor rolls a distracted Rollins up for 2. Rollins decks Balor and goes to the floor to trash talk Priest. Priest takes a seat. Rollins turns around to Balor flying out and taking him down. Balor with a Coup de Grace off the announce table, then off the steel steps.

Balor brings it back in and keeps control, then hits the corner dropkick. Balor goes up top for a Coup de Grace but he stops when Priest jumps up from his seat at ringside. This allows Seth Rollins to dodge the a Coup de Grace, then nail a Stomp for the pin to win and retain.

After the match, Seth Rollins stands tall with the title as fans sing his song while Finn Balor and Damian Priest are arguing at ringside now. Rollins laughs and makes his exit.
