WWE star Drew McIntyre seemingly teased appearing in another promotion today on social media. The Scottish Warrior is set to challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash at the Castle 2024 on June 15 in Glasgow, Scotland.
McIntyre hinted at this potential move following an eventful episode of NXT last night, which featured appearances by TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and former AEW star Ethan Page. Earlier today, Page revealed that he has not yet signed a WWE contract.
Having competed in TNA in the past and won the World Heavyweight Championship under his real name, Drew Galloway, McIntyre further fueled speculation by sharing a picture of himself holding the major championship, suggesting a possible return to TNA.
“Doors open both ways,” he wrote.
Drew McIntyre was originally slated to compete in this year’s King of the Ring tournament but was ruled out due to injury. As a result, Gunther went on to win the tournament, earning a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam on August 3.
