A former WWE Superstar recently revealed some scrapped plans involving The Bella Twins that would have been a dream match for fans.
Peyton Royce made a name for herself in WWE NXT as part of the tag team The IIconics, alongside Billie Kay. Their charisma and personality won over fans and impressed WWE, leading to their promotion to the main roster. There, The IIconics captured the Women’s Tag Team Championship once. They established themselves as one of the top heel teams in the company, but their time with WWE was cut short when they were released in 2021.
During a recent interview with Ring The Belle, Peyton Royce mentioned that they were supposed to be involved in a storyline with The Bella Twins between WrestleMania and SummerSlam, but those plans were scrapped.
“All I know is that we were supposed to go into a story apparently from Wrestlemania to SummerSlam. That’s all I know,” Peyton Royce
admitted. “Yeah, I know. That would have been a dream come true for us. But everything happens for a reason.” [H/T – WrestleZone]”
WWE legends Torrie Wilson and Michelle McCool Supposed To Face The IIconics
Torrie Wilson and Michelle McCool have made sporadic appearances for WWE, participating in the Women’s Royal Rumble matches. However, they haven’t been involved in any major storylines. That was apparently set to change.
In the same interview, it was revealed that Torrie Wilson mentioned on her podcast that she and Michelle McCool were supposed to take on The IIconics. However, Peyton Royce said this was the first time she had heard of any such plans.
“Oh, stop! No, I didn’t! Oh my gosh. So many missed opportunities,” Peyton Royce said. “No, I had no idea, that would have been a dream come true as well.”
