Becky Lynch’s WWE contract has reportedly expired, and recent reports indicate that she might be leaving the company for an extended period. Liv Morgan ended Lynch’s reign as Women’s World Champion at King and Queen of the Ring and later retained the title in a Steel Cage match on RAW.
The Irish-born wrestler was one of WWE’s biggest stars, making her absence a significant loss for the division. This might be the perfect opportunity for another major player to make a comeback: Lynch’s former rival, Charlotte Flair.
“The Queen” was sidelined last December due to a torn ACL, meniscus, and MCL. However, the former Women’s Champion has shown impressive recovery. Recently, she shared on her Instagram story that she is back to working out consistently. Flair was expected to return during the summer or, at the earliest, in December. Whether she will make a surprise appearance at any of the upcoming premium live events remains to be seen.
Before her injury on SmackDown, Charlotte Flair was gradually moving towards a tag team run in the division alongside Shotzi. According to Shotzi, there were plans for the two to become Women’s Tag Team Champions. Currently, the titles are held by Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.
