Storyline development has become a key focus for WWE, as demonstrated once again on this week’s Monday Night RAW. While the in-ring action was largely forgettable, many of the company’s talents received screen time, and important storylines were given space to develop. One notable exception was the match between Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser, which received ample TV time and earned respect for its quality. This bout was easily the best match of the night.
According to Fightful Select, both Sheamus and Kaiser received high praise from officials for their performances. Kaiser even managed to secure arguably the biggest win of his career, defeating a former multi-time WWE Champion and an accomplished veteran of the industry.
Another segment that caught the attention of WWE higher-ups featured Bron Breakker and RAW General Manager Adam Pearce. Breakker is being portrayed as an out-of-control WWE Superstar. Last week, the former NXT Champion disrupted a one-on-one match between Ricochet and Ilja Dragunov by attacking both competitors. In response, Ricochet demanded that Pearce book a match between him and Breakker this week. Bron Breakker is also scheduled to face Ilja Dragunov in the near future.
