Former WWE Women’s World Champion Becky Lynch recently chose not to re-sign with the company before her previous contract expired. With several other top stars’ contracts also nearing expiration, WWE has reportedly offered new contracts to the popular SmackDown tag team of Angel Garza and Humberto.
The duo made a surprise return to the main roster, assisting Santos Escobar in defeating Bobby Lashley in a United States Championship Tournament match on the December 22, 2023, edition of Friday Night SmackDown. They later added Elektra Lopez to their faction, Legado Del Fantasma. Angel and Humberto’s WWE contracts are reportedly set to expire later this year.
An X (formerly Twitter) user recently asked Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful about the two superstars’ contracts. Sapp responded by stating that both Angel and Humberto had been offered deals by WWE, but there was no confirmation on whether either had signed a new deal with the company.
“They were both offered deals by WWE,” he wrote.
