Damian Priest Reacts Regarding Major Botch At WWE Money In The Bank 2024
WWE

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest has finally breaks silence about a major botch at the recent WWE Money in the Bank 2024 Premium Live Event.

The Judgement Day’s member Damian Priest defended his title against Seth Rollins in a singles match but later it became a Triple Threat Match after Drew McIntyre cashing in his briefcase. However, before McIntyre cashed in his MITB briefcase, The Visionary had hit a Falcon Arrow on Priest. But the referee controversially stopped counting after two, even though Priest didn’t kick out.

This led to speculation about whether the referee made a mistake or whether Priest forgot to kick out. However, the match continued and Priest picked up the victory after CM Punk brutally attacked Drew McIntyre during the match.

During a recent interview with the New York Post, WWE World Heavyweight champion Damian Priest finally acknowledged the incident. He also rejected the claims of him forgetting to kick out, but also admitted that there was ”a situation.”

“The idea that I forgot to kick out [at WWE Money in the Bank], that’s not a thing. That’s not a thing. We don’t forget to kick out. Twenty years in, I’m pretty sure there is some kind of muscle memory there. So me forgetting was not the case. There was nothing outside that was supposed to happen. It was a matter of there was a situation, but I’m OK. Everybody’s fine; the story continues,” Priest said. [H/T: Post Wrestling]

WWE Raw superstar also noted that most people had moved on from it, especially those who knew what happened.

“It doesn’t affect anything. The show goes on, and I think fans are very invested in everything that’s going on. The ones that matter knew the situation, and nobody thought twice about it. It was, move on!” he added. [H/T: Post Wrestling]

Currently, Damian Priest is feuding with The Ring General GUNTHER and set to defend his WWE World Heavyweight championship against him at WWE Summer Slam 2024.
