WWE will tour Japan and is set to adjust several shows to accommodate this. The promotion recently toured Mexico. As a result, next week’s SmackDown is already being taped this week. It appears that Damian Priest will have to defend his title next week.
According to the PW Insider reports, WWE Legend Rey Mysterio is set to challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship next week. This huge title match is set to take place in front of the Tokyo crowd as part of WWE’s tour in Japan.
This will be Rey Mysterio’s first world title match this year. His last world title match was against Roman Reigns on July 22, 2023, for the WWE Universal Championship.
