Recently, WWE released a video announcement of next year’s Summer Slam which featured Cardi B. There is also a speculation that Cardi B would appear on Summer Slam 2025. Now, we got an huge update about Cardi B’s WWE deal.
According to the Fightful Select reports, WWE has been approached American rapper Cardi B for several years now. They want to use one of the Cardi B’s song for their Summer Slam 2021 pay-per-view and hoping she would make an appearance at that event. However, that plans were put on hold after Cardi B’s pregnancy announcement.
Fightful also further reported that WWE also wants to use more mainstream stars for its programming and PPV announcements.
Cardi B has mentioned in interviews and on social media that she grew up watching WWE during the “Attitude Era.” She has cited wrestlers like Eddie Guerrero, Triple H, and Booker T as some of her favorites. Her song “I Like It” even references Eddie Guerrero’s famous catchphrase, “I lie, I cheat, I steal.” Cardi B has expressed interest in appearing in WWE, possibly as a host or guest star. Her song “UP” also used as theme for Summer Slam 2021.
With the recent promotional video for Summer Slam 2025, which featured Cardi B and Bianca Belair, WWE fans are speculating that Cardi B would make her appear in WWE at upcoming Summer Slam pay-per-view. WWE Summer Slam 2025 is scheduled to take place as a two-night event on August 2nd and 3rd, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, marking the first Summer Slam to take place across two nights.
