After a good Friday Night SmackDown event, the attention was diverted to recent big releases that happened in RAW and SmackDown.
WWE released around a dozen stars, the names include former champions, tag team members, star drafted to main roster last year and few others who didn’t receive a fair push from WWE.
Releasing wrestling professionals has been common for major companies from decades and talent will come and go. It will not changes any time soon. These releases affected various tag teams and unions.
Below four are the teams affected by recent releases.

The Final Testament was led by Karrion Kross along with his real-life partner Scarlett, The Authors of Pain’s Akam, Rezar and Paul Ellering was recruited by Kross to be his side. They were quite distructive as a unit.
Karrion Kross led The Final Testament took a significant hit over the weekend. Akam, Rezar and Paul Ellering have all been released. This means The Final Testament is now just Karrion Kross and Scarlett. As of now, Karrion Kross is having his on going rivalry with Sami Zayn. So Scarlett may get a chance to focus on her singles carrer.
3. The Unholy Union are broken

The Unholy Union, a tag team in WWE for several years now. Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn competed as singles stars on NXT UK. After a feud between them on NXT, they have united to form Unholy Union and have won tag team gold on main roster.
The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions will no longer be together. In latest releases, the Scottish star Isla Dawn was let go by WWE. This puts an end to The Unholy Union. While Isla Dawn is no longer part of the company, Alba Fyre could receive a singles push. For a period, she was the face of the NXT UK women’s division.
2. Legado del Fantasma took a hit

Legado del Fantasma is a luchadore group on WWE SmackDown. The group formed in NXT and later merged with the Latino World Order. Santos Escobar has been the leader and he has been joined by Angel, Berto, and Elektra Lopez for quite some time.
Unfortunately, Legado took a hit this weekend. Elektra Lopez has been released from WWE after being called up to the main roster specifically to be part of Legado del Fantasma.
Legado del Fantasma can move forward with just Santos Escobar, Berto, and Angel. Recently, Zelina Vega moved back to SmackDown, so there could a chance that she can join with Santos despite their past issues.

Since last year Pure Fusion Collective on WWE RAW. After returning from injury Sonya Deville recruited Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. Even though the trio looked dangerous but failed to win gold.
Sonya Deville was one of those confirmed to leave the promotion soon. Even though she wasn’t part of the releases over the weekend, it was reported that she was formally informed she would not be re-signing after the end of her current contract. Sonya Deville, the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion joined the company and then trained on NXT. From many years she has been on the main roster.
Shayna Baszler and Zoey stark could potentially carry on as Pure Fusion Collective with Sonya Deville soon no longer part of the company.
