On the WrestleMania go-home edition of Monday Night Raw, WWE announced the #1 Contender Tag Team Turmoil Match for WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Night 1 of WrestleMania 37. The winner of the #1 Contender match will get the title shot against Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler on WrestleMania 37 Night Two.

The teams that included for the #1 contender match are Lana and Naomi, Natalya and Tamina Snuka, Mandy Rose and Dana Brooke, and Riott Squad (Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan). But WWE had other plans for the the event.
Previously, it was reported that Women’s Battle Royal wouldn’t take place at this year’s WrestleMania but according to the WrestleVotes, the original plan is to have Women’s Battle Royal and final two women in the match would be declared as winners. Then, the two finalists would teamed up to face Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler for WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles on the Night Two of WrestleMania 37.
Original idea prior to the Women’s Tag Team Turmoil match being decided on was to have the annual Women’s Battle Royal where the final 2 would be “winners” & form a tag team the next night. Much like the WM 15 Battle Royal that Test & D’Lo won, then lost later to Owen & Jarrett.
