Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal usually take place at kick-off show of WrestleMania but last year this match didn’t take place due to pandemic outbreak. And this year too, the multi-man Battle Royal isn’t featuring at Grandest Stage as it was scheduled to take place at WrestleMania special edition of Friday Night Smackdown.
On the Wrestling Observer Radio, it was mentioned that WWE wants WrestleMania to run for three and half hours on both the nights excluding kick-off shows. Total fourteen matches announced for the show and seven matches will take place on each night.
So, this will force several superstars to sit out the WWE’s biggest event, which was taking place infront of live fans after a year. Over the years, fans also complained about the length of the WrestleMania event which was exhausting people. So, thus might be reason to exclude the Battle Royal from the event.
With fewer matches on the card, several superstars will get more time to showcase their skills and get the spotlight.
