Tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown is live from WWE ThunderDome at Yuengling Center at Orlando, Florida. WWE annouced two matches for the show.
The Smackdown Tag Team Champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode will defend their titles against The Street Profits and also Try Mysterio will battle Otis in one-on-one competition.
WWE also officially announced that Pat McAfee will be joined Smackdown annouce team starting from this week’s WWE SmackDown.
Tag Team GOLD is on the line and more as the blue brand prepares for the fallout from #WrestleMania. #WWENow
Here The Friday Night Smackdown Full Matches And Results With Short Review:
– Tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown opened with video of Tribal Chief Roman Reigns retaining his Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan and Edge at WrestleMania 37 Night Two. Then, Micheal Cole welcomes us to the show and he was joined new member of annouce team Pat McAfee.
– The Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring along with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso. Fans boos for Reigns and Roman Reigns says they have put a lot of eyes of Smackdown, so for the new viewers, Reigns asks Paul Heyman to tell about the men he defeated at main event of WrestleMania 37.
Paul Heyman gave a little introduction about Edge and Daniel Bryan, and explains how Roman Reigns stacked both the opponents to pin for a victory at WrestleMania 37. Heyman says it’s more look like a handicap match than a triple threat match and fans boos.
Reigns says he did exactly what he said on last week’s Friday that he’s going to smash them and stack them and continued that WWE probably will never book him again in Triple Threat Match because of how he enbarassed Edge and Bryan at WrestleMania 37. Reigns says no one what to face him, no one wants him to do that for them. These are the Hall of Famers but he smashed them and stacked them and pinned 1-2-3. Then, these Hall of Famers acknowledged him infront of the world.
Roman continued that after seeing what he did to them, no one wants to step up against him and put their reputation on the line. It’s not worth it and no one was on his level. But music hits, here comes the Swiss Cyborg Cesaro.
Cesaro enteres the ring and Reigns get his face. Cesrao looks back and then put his sight back on Universal Title. Cesrao takes the mic, while Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and Jey Uso exits the ring not concerned about what Cesaro going to say. They all going to back and Cesrao doesn’t get a chance to speak on the mic and his music still playing.
– Adam Pearce at backstage talking with Sonya Deville, then, Cesrao walks to them and asks if they see what Roman Reigns did. He says Reigns thinks no one will steo up but he will. He further says, he doesn’t care if the title on line but he want match against Roman Reigns. Adam tries to speak but Deville says she will speak to Reigns and get back to him. Pearce looks surprised and Cesrao walks off.
– Rey Mysterio (w/Dominik Mysterio) defeated Otis (w/Chad Gable) via Pinfall in Singles Match. After the match, Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio celebrating on the ramp, while Otis and Chad Gable looking furious in the ring.
– Paul Heyman at backstage with Kayla Braxton and she asks if Roman Reigns will accept the Cesrao’s challenge. Heyman says Cesrao is a joke, so, let’s put end of the jokes now. Heyman continued that Cesaro gets what he wants tonight, he will be in one-on-one match in main event against “The Main Event” Jey Uso.
– Sami Zyan in the ring and we see the video package of Kevin Owens win over Sami Zyan at WrestleMania 37 Night Two and Owens Stunner on Logan Paul. Sami says he will see all the highlights expect one more accurate – Sami Zyan is once again screwed.
Sami says WrestleMania supposed to be his vindication, all the stars aligned including his special guest Logan Paul. But he rants that Paul’s mind is poisoned by everyone from Micheal Cole, the corporate mouthpiece to the fans and everyone else in between. Sami says he felt it from the beginning as soon as Paul arrived and tried to pull him back. Sami says the only reason Owens got win over him at WrestleMania because he was distracted during his match.
Sami further says he will not denies his vindication, his revenge and calls out Kevin Owens for a match against. He says that there is nothing to distract him right now and there’s no way to Owens steal the win. Then, music hits, here comes The Prizefighter Kevin Owens.
– Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zyan via count out in Singles Match. After the match, Owens brings Sami to the ring and hit a stunner in the middle of the ring.
– The New Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews at with Commander Azeez. Crews laughs about his WrestleMania 37 win against Big E and says he will give him a rematch tonight but Big E was here after that Nigerian Drum Fight. Apollo introduced the Commander Azeez and says he’s the former Nigerian Elite gaurd. If any one dares to come for his title then they will annihilated by Nigerian Nail, a new name to the weapon carried by Commander Azeez.
– The Street Profits make their way to the ring and we can see all over the ballons in the ring for the Binaca Belair Championship celebrations. Street Profits cuts promo about tag team division and says they will take titles from Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. They are also excited for some extra motivation they picked up at WrestleMania 37 weekend. We see the video package of Binaca Belair winning the Smackdown Women’s Championship in the WrestleMania 37 Night One main event.
Then, Montez Ford introduced new Smackdown Women’s Champion Binaca Belair. She says she’s floating since Saturday night and her heart is full and she’s blessed. Despite of her troubles, she never stopped believing in making happen this moment and Belair goes on about never be apologetic, if you dream it, you can do it. Belair also thanked Sasha Banks and says there’s nobody she should have shared spotlight with. She says Banks pushed her and they both made history at WrestleMania 37.
Bianca Belair says she left something to remember for Sasha Banks, reference to the hair whip. Belair says it’s all for the little girls out their watching in person or at home. It was magic at WrestleMania and we are just staring creating history. They all had group hug and Belair says it’s time for The Street Profits to get the Smackdown Tag Team Titles back because we only wear gold at home.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Sasha Banks and she shows her marks on stomach from the hair whip. Banks looks angry and she didn’t speak anything and left.
– Kayla Braxton at backstage with Bayley. She says Banks must watch the rematch because she can’t put a sentence together. Bayley says while she was trying to save WrestleMania 37, Binaca Belair was crying before the main event because she thought she couldn’t win. But now she’s is showboating that she’s arrogant. Is thta kind of Champion we want? No, Bayley says there’s only one way to fix it that Bayley should challenge her for title and take it back.
– Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode defeated Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins via Pinfall and retained their Smackdown Tag Team Titles.
– Micheal Cole shows us the Cesrao’s UFO move to Seth Rollins and says it’s the single most impressive moment in WrestleMania history. Kayla Braxton at backstage with Cesrao and asks about Paul Heyman’s comments about him earlier. Cesrao thinks Paul is right, he has buck teeth, a slack jaw and he might not be the smartest person in the world but Heyman is wrong about one thing that he does belong in the ring with Roman Reigns and he’s going to prove it tonight by defeating Jey Uso.
– Roman Reigns talking to Paul Heyman at backstage and Jey Uso walks up. Reigns tell Jey to teach a lesson to Cesrao tonight.
– Natalya (w/Tamina Snuka) defeated Shayna Baszler (w/Nia Jax) via Pinfall in singles match. After the match, Nia Jax tries to attack Natalya but Tamina took out Jax with a superkick.
– Jey Uso at backstage with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman. Uso cuts promo about Cesrao, says he’s going to show Cesrao why he was called as Main Event Jey Uso and walks off. Roman Reigns looks into camera and says Cesrao heard Jey and now, Jey is going to show him.
– Cesaro defeated Jey Uso via disqualification in singles match. During the match, Seth Rollins attacked Cesrao and caused disqualification. Following the match, Seth Rollins took out Cesaro make his way back. But he turned around in the ramp and yells at Cesaro that one time he got lucky but it’s not over, nothing will over until Seth Rollins says it’s over, while Cesrao looks from the ring and Smackdown goes off air.
“You got lucky one time! This isn’t over! Nothing is over until I say it’s over!”
